COMPANIES FOUNDED BY DAN MURPHY

This list of corporations represents the companies in which Dan Murphy was one of the incorporating (usually one of five incorporators) signers of each firm’s “Articles of Incorporation”; in a few cases, he was a member of the board of directors. The companies are in chronological order of their founding. Some companies were incorporated long after their founding, i.e., Monaghan & Murphy Company founded in 1883 and incorporated in 1901. Murphy began working in Los Angeles in 1900. Many of the companies founded after that date are corporations which were in the interest of the Pacific Land Improvement Company, the real estate arm of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad.
